🦄 Uniswap DAO considers establishing itself as a Wyoming DUNA for legal standing
🌌 LayerZero Foundation moves to acquire Stargate DAO and buy out STG tokenholders
💧 Fluid DAO outlines growth strategy and opens discussion on token buybacks
Let’s dive in 🏊
Uniswap DAO
Uniswap DAO explores establishing as a Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Association (DUNA)
Uniswap Foundation has published an RFC proposing the formal establishment of Uniswap Governance as a Wyoming Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Association (DUNA). The structure, created under Wyoming law, provides DAOs with legal personhood, liability protections, and the ability to contract and hold assets in compliance with U.S. regulations.
The initiative seeks to address ongoing legal and operational challenges facing the DAO by giving Uniswap Governance clearer standing as an entity, without requiring a traditional foundation model. Proponents argue that a DUNA could strengthen accountability while preserving decentralization by explicitly recognizing tokenholder-led governance as the core decision-making mechanism.
The proposal is still in the exploratory stage, with delegates and legal experts expected to weigh in on risks, costs, and whether adopting a DUNA aligns with Uniswap’s long-term decentralization goals.
LayerZero
LayerZero Foundation proposes acquisition of Stargate, Wormhole signals competing interest
The LayerZero Foundation has proposed acquiring Stargate Finance, offering STG holders a cash buyout at a premium and aiming to consolidate Stargate’s liquidity transport infrastructure under LayerZero’s governance umbrella. According to the proposal, LayerZero would fully acquire Stargate, delist the STG token, and transition its functions directly into the LayerZero ecosystem.
The process has become more interesting following comments from Wormhole, a direct LayerZero competitor, indicating interest in pursuing a competing acquisition of Stargate. Wormhole representatives argue that Stargate should not be consolidated into a single bridging ecosystem, and instead be positioned as neutral infrastructure. This intervention has introduced uncertainty around Stargate’s strategic direction and raised the possibility of a bidding contest between major cross-chain interoperability providers.
The proposal remains under community discussion on the Stargate forum, with further details and potential next steps to be determined as tokenholders weigh competing visions for Stargate’s future.
Fluid DAO
Fluid DAO publishes growth vision and explores buyback program
Fluid DAO contributors have shared a new strategic post outlining the protocol’s long-term growth vision, paired with an open discussion on whether the DAO should implement a community-led token buyback program. The framework emphasizes strengthening Fluid’s position in decentralized liquidity markets through ecosystem expansion, developer support, and community incentives.
The buyback discussion centers on whether treasury resources should be used to repurchase FLUID tokens from the open market as a way to reinforce confidence, reward long-term contributors, and reduce circulating supply. Proponents argue that a structured buyback program could help align incentives and sustain token value, while skeptics caution against short-term financial engineering at the expense of ecosystem investments.
No formal vote has been scheduled yet, but the DAO is soliciting feedback from tokenholders on the balance between growth-oriented spending and capital return mechanisms.

Proposal Tracker™️
⚡ VOTING UNDERWAY | Superfluid DAO - SUP Transferability
Summary: This proposal seeks to enable transferability of the SUP governance token by the end of November 2025, once seven defined milestones are completed. These milestones include distribution to 40k+ members, security audits of the reserve mechanism, active governance participation, bootstrapping liquidity, and ensuring positive market conditions.
💬 DISCUSSION | Lazy Summer DAO - SUMR TR-WG Checklist
Summary: This proposal seeks to ratify the Transfer Readiness Working Group (TR-WG) checklist, which outlines milestone-based conditions for enabling SUMR token transfers. The checklist spans governance, tokenomics, technical, and communications requirements, and is designed to ensure the protocol and ecosystem are adequately prepared before transfers are activated. If approved, the working group will finalize deliverables and publish associated governance proposals (SIPs) aligned with the roadmap.
💬 DISCUSSION | 1inch DAO - 1inch DAO Financial Revitalization
Summary: This proposal would redirect 100% of Fusion surplus fees and limit order taker fees to the DAO treasury, creating a sustainable revenue stream projected at over $5M annually. Proponents argue the change is necessary to address the DAO’s lack of operating income and looming treasury depletion.
