Growth Program Renewal
Compound DAO discusses Growth Program renewal by AlphaGrowth
AlphaGrowth has submitted a proposal to renew the Compound Growth Program for 2025, requesting an annual allocation of 108,050 COMP for business units and 55,512 COMP for working capital. The team aims to take on expanded responsibilities as key stakeholders like Compound Labs have reduced their involvement. AlphaGrowth claims they’ve demonstrated success by generating $715M in new TVL through various growth initiatives and relationship building.
The program establishes eight specialized business units, including Wholistic Security, New Assets & Markets, Rails to TradFi, DeFi Operations, Treasuries at Hedge Funds, and more. These units aim to enhance Compound’s growth and operations.
The proposal features a performance-based commission structure, offering a $5 million bonus for every additional $1 billion in TVL brought to the platform. Community members have raised concerns about the $16M upfront funding request.
Committees and Councils
SafeDAO votes on OBRA restructure
SafeDAO is voting on a significant amendment to its Outcomes-Based Resource Allocation framework (OBRA), that would introduce a new Committees and Councils structure to enhance grant allocation efficiency.
The framework establishes two key bodies: a Strategy Steering Committee (3 members) and a Grants Council (3 members). The Strategy Steering Committee, initially nominated by the Safe Ecosystem Foundation, will oversee strategic direction and the creation of the Grants Council through an open nomination process. Grant proposals will require approval from both bodies, each having one vote, with disagreements eligible for escalation to full DAO voting.
The new structure addresses voter fatigue issues while maintaining decentralized decision-making through clear accountability measures and term limits.
Bridge Liquidity
Polygon DAO proposes major liquidity deployment
Allez Labs, Morpho Association, and Yearn have proposed deploying the Polygon PoS Bridge's $1.3B stablecoin reserves into curated yield-generating strategies.
The initiative aims to address an estimated $70M annual opportunity cost from idle bridge assets while maintaining strict security measures, including a 72-hour timelock on risk-increasing decisions.
DAI reserves will be held in Maker's sUSDS, while USDC and USDT will utilize Morpho Vaults as yield sources, with initial markets including Superstate's USTB and Angle's stUSD. Yearn will manage the ecosystem incentive program through dedicated Polygon Ecosystem Vaults for each asset, with yields reinvested to stimulate growth across Polygon PoS and AggLayer DeFi.
