Back to Maker
Rune proposes options to recenter the Maker brand
Rune has put forward a proposal addressing community feedback on the Sky rebrand and potentially changing it back to Maker. The proposal comes off the back of the successful launch of USDS, which has exceeded 1B total supply within just 2 weeks. However, the SKY token and its initial reception have not performed as well. The proposal aims to address confusion about the Sky token's utility and the strong community affinity for the original Maker brand.
Rune’s proposal offers three options to the community:
Continue with Sky as the Core Brand
Recenter the Maker Brand with its original brand identity
Recenter the Maker brand with a refreshed brand identity
Next steps include community feedback, a call on October 25, and voting from October 28th.
Bring it Onchain
MORPHO token advances towards onchain governance implementation
Morpho has proposed beginning the technical implementation of onchain governance for the MORPHO token. The proposal addresses the current limitations of the immutable MORPHO token contract.
Key aspects of the proposed implementation include:
Developing a wrapper contract for the MORPHO token
Enabling onchain vote accounting and delegation
Making the wrapper upgradeable for future improvements
Deploying a compatible contract on Base for cross-chain functionality
Raise Moar Funds
ENS Labs requests increased funding for ENSv2 development
ENS Labs has proposed an increase in funding for the development of ENSv2. This latest upgrade to ENS would see the naming service launch its own L2, redesign its core architectures, and enhance decentralization.
The funding request would increase the annual budget from $4.2M USDC to $9.7M USDC. Key aspects of the proposal include:
A four-phase development plan for ENSv2, extending into 2026
Extension of ENS to L2 solutions for reduced transaction fees
Architectural redesign for greater flexibility and utility
Enhanced decentralization to preserve user sovereignty
The development plan outlines four phases:
Research and Design (estimated completion: EOY 2024)
Development (estimated: throughout 2025)
Testing and Auditing (estimated: Q4 2025-Q1 2026)
Deployment and Migration (estimated: Q1 2026)

Proposal Tracker™️
⚡ VOTING UNDERWAY | ENS - Governance Distribution Pilot Program
Summary: This proposal establishes a pilot program for distributing ENS governance tokens to eligible DAO contributors. The program aims to allocate between 0 and 90k ENS tokens, with the final amount to be determined by a ranked choice vote. The initiative seeks to engage contributors in governance, enhance token utility, and align incentives within the ENS ecosystem.
💬 DISCUSSION | Arbitrum - Arbitrum as the Home of Builders
Summary: This proposal aims to position Arbitrum as the premier "Chain-Abstracted Ecosystem" for blockchain developers. The initiative enhances interoperability across Orbit chains, improves user experience, and strengthens Arbitrum's competitive advantage. Key components include establishing a workstream to define technical solutions, initiating an RFP process for implementation, and rolling out a Chain Abstraction Package.
💬 DISCUSSION | Across - Permanently Fix ACX Supply at 1B Tokens
Summary: This proposal seeks to fix the total supply of ACX tokens at 1B in response to recent criticisms of the ACX token design. The change requires no modifications to ACX smart contracts but involves renouncing Across Governance's ownership over the ACX token. This action will prevent any future changes to the token supply via minting or burning. The proposal aims to enhance transparency, decentralization, and stability within the Across ecosystem.
From the Lab
Delegate to us at Scroll DAO
We’re pleased to announce we’ve joined Scroll DAO as delegates!
Scroll is an L2 focused on researching and scaling Ethereum, distributing this technology to the billions of people who would benefit most from this technology. Our primary objective as a delegate is to ensure that the decision-making and accountability process through which we build, fund, and distribute this technology is sustainable, fair, and decentralized.
