Yeah? Well, My Validator Set Uses ZKs
Polygon Labs submits proposal to upgrade PoS chain with ZK tech
Polygon has announced plans (pending governance approval) to upgrade its existing PoS blockchain architecture to incorporate zkEVM Validium technology.
Motivations for the upgrade include increased security, future-proofing the polygon tech stack, improved scalability, and faster transactions.
The announcement marks the beginning of a series of upgrades for Polygon 2.0, ushering in a new era of Polygon.
A vote to ratify the upgrade is expected in Nov 2023. Should the proposal pass, mainnet launch is estimated by end of Q1 2024.
Curve Wars, What’s it Good For?
Reserve Protocol pushes into Curve Wars by purchasing $20M worth of governance tokens
Reserve Protocol, a stablecoin issuer, has made a $20M strategic investment in CRV, CVX, and SDT governance tokens.
To ensure deep liquidity for its asset-backed currencies, Reserve Protocol will be able to use its newfound influence to direct gauge rewards toward RToken pools.
2.0 is the new 1.0
Osmosis unveils Tokenomics upgrades, dubbed OSMO 2.0
The Cosmos-based DEX is proposing a series of changes to its tokenomics to build a more sustainable ecosystem.
In April, Osmosis Governance ratified two proposals aimed at reducing the token inflation rate by 50% and extending the token emission schedule.
Now, the Osmosis community looks to implement those and possibly two additional changes to overhaul its existing tokenomics.
Osmosis Governance is currently deliberating on two proposals:
1) How to best utilize MEV revenue generated by the protocol
2) Whether to turn on a fee switch for OSMO stakers
