Welcome back to the Governance Lab, your source for all things StableLab, DAO Governance, and of course DAO drama. Our family has grown. 🥹 Read on.

This week:
❤️‍🔥 Nneoma joins the team
🗳️ Grants Council Elections are live
👀 Euler Community plans the future
& much more

Let’s dive in.

Lab Activity 🔬

Welcome Nneoma ❤️‍🔥

We're thrilled to announce that Nneoma has joined the StableLab team as our newest governance analyst. Nneoma brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held roles at Jet Protocol and Near Protocol. In her spare time, Nneoma runs a DAO focused on onboarding Africans to web3. Keep an eye out for her on the governance forums.

Check out our latest blogpost to learn more about her journey!

Grants Council Election Update 🗳️

Voting is underway to elect community members to Optimism’s Grants Council for Season 4. We are vying for one of five seats on the Growth Experiments subcommittee. Current results have us just out of the top 5.

If you’re an OP holder, vote for STABLELAB. Voting ends on May 29th.

Make Euler Great Again 🫡

On Tuesday, Matt shared a post on the Euler forums to kickstart a community discussion about the future utility and application of the EUL token. Our previous thread about the overall future of the Euler protocol generated a lot of productive dialogue within the community. This new forum post continues the conversation and is focused on sourcing thoughts and ideas about the future utility of the native token.

Thanks for all your productive comments as we look forward to relaunch 🙏

Host Duties 🎤

This week we had the pleasure of hosting two community calls. Doo hosted the weekly Growth AVC call at Maker while Kene hosted the biweekly Governance Call over at 1inch.

The Growth AVC discussed the Accessibility Scope, which covers accessibility and distribution efforts for user-facing frontends. Deniz from the DUX team joined as a special guest.

BitDAO Votes to Rebrand

The investment DAO community voted to double down on its Layer 2 solution project by incorporating its name as the main project brand. On May 19th, the community approved a governance proposal to change the DAO's name to Mantle. The new name reflects the DAO's shift as “the primary strategy for user and developer engagement”

Mantle is currently in the testnet phase.

Aave Votes to Enable ‘CapsPlusRiskStewards’

An on-chain vote is currently active at Aave DAO to give special admin roles to the two risk service providers, Chaos Labs and Gauntlet. In order to streamline caps updates, which have historically been unanimously approved by governance, a special role known as the Risk Council will be created which allows for the adjustments of asset borrow/supply caps “without voting overhead”.
