π§Now Delegates at Lido Finance
This week, we published our Delegate Thread on the Lido DAO forums, the first step in our delegate journey at the derivate staking protocol.
Weβre joining Lido DAO to help create robust and comprehensive frameworks that promote the sustainable growth of the protocol in its quest to increase accessibility to liquid staking derivatives.
π©οΈ JetDAO Community Call
On Wednesday, Kene jumped on a Twitter Spaces with the folks over at Jet Protocol, the Solana DeFi protocol, to give his take on the current and potential future of DAO2DAO relationships. Kene emphasized the untapped potential of leveraging this form of relationship to accelerate PMF and beyond. Big thanks to James for inviting us on. π«
π DAOmeter Coverage
Our frens over at Tally, the governance tooling platform, featured the release of DAOmeter in their latest newsletter. The piece highlights the impact DAOmeter may have on the DAO ecosystem by exposing fake DAOs and creating a conversation that forces these organizations to be more transparent in what theyβre building.
Special thanks to coolhorsegirl2 for the write-up!

π«π· Bobby Announced as DAOCON Speaker
DAOCON has announced our own Bobby as a speaker at the event which is set to take place in Paris in mid-July, a day before EthCC. The event self-describes as a DAO-focused tradeshow, conference, and convention all wrapped into one. Bobby will be attending the inaugural event to give a talk about the day-to-day of a professional delegate and what they do across various DeFi protocols to help them in their mission. Other speakers announced include Griff Green, Ivan Fartunov, and Julien Bouteloup.

Self-Sacrifice, Self-Interest, and DAOs
In our latest blog post, we explore the duality between self-interest and self-sacrifice within decentralized organizations. From ancient history to modern times, self-sacrifice for the greater good has been celebrated. But how does this play out in DAOs, where self-interest is also important?

Llama Sparks Delegate Discussion at Aave
Following the conversation to fund the Aave Chan Initiative as an Aave service provider, Llama has drafted a proposal sparking an important conversation surrounding the relationship between Service Providers, Delegates, and how they operate at Aave.
In their post, Llama requests community feedback and discussion addressing how to differentiate and ultimately compensate the two (sometimes indistinguishable) roles. Presently, Aave DAO has made a clear path toward compensation for service providers such as Gauntlet, BGD, etc. but is yet to provide the same for delegate contributions.
As Ernesto from BGD Labs states, βNow, do I think the previous should be implemented? Not really. Instead of spending resources and time on bureaucracy and politics, the community should be focused onβ¦.Come up with improvements to the governance system itselfβ¦More educational material to inform AAVE holdersβ¦β.
To which Llama replied, βIt is apparent from reading the comments further discussion is needed, particularly in the area relating to what other activities delegates can partake / receive payment for. Anything mutually exclusive, ie: Aave maximalist, will have a dramatic affect on the eligibility of many existing delegate teams to seek funding.β
In all, the leading DeFi protocol currently hosts some of the most engaging and thoughtful governance activity within the entire ecosystem. What happens at Aave may very well influence and permeate across DeFi.
MakerDAO Ratifies Endgame Constitution
On March 27th, a poll to ratify the new Maker Constitution (the first step toward Runeβs Endgame Plan) closed with a 76% majority approval from MKR tokenholders.
The ratification of the Constitution paves the way for a new era at MakerDAO by overhauling its organizational structure and introducing Voter Committees, Constitutional Delegates, SubDAOs, and much more.
